Seven Layer Granite Oil Lamp

Had I been smart, I would have taken a photo of one of these all lit up in it's indigenous habitat - Kerala, India. Each level of the lamp has these little indentations all around the edge that get filled with oil, then have a little wick (I use cotton kitchen string), and you light it getting a little flame. Now picture each level having all of these little flames. We have neither a temple to put behind ours, nor piles of garland to throw at its base as you would see it in India, so you'll have to use your imagination.
