Its been a long time since we've . . .

Wow, all right. It's been since the end of May since we last blogged.  How's your summer been?  Yeah?  No way!  Me too, like three times!  The main thing that I have been stalling on in getting a new entry up is getting our new samples from our organic-reclaimed-modernist-mid-century furniture collection (we are working on a shorter name or an acronym of some sort) that we are now making ourselves in our new space.  It's actually going really well and the pieces are coming out fantastically.  All reclaimed wood from around the States as well as overseas from an FSC certified forest (a very hard environmental lumber certification to get), all done in a style that has expanded on our butterfly collection. So very clean lined, showing off the organic nature of the various types and shapes of wood we are using.  The other great part is they are all custom pieces - custom that is loosely based on our designs, or collaborations with our clients.  So you can look at any of the pieces we post and say I would like it taller, wider, more holes, fewer holes, straighter edges, darker, lighter -you get the point.  Another great part with all of the is the lead time.  Because we are making them in our own workshop here in Minneapolis, it usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to get an order done, which in this industry is pretty amazing.

So what do you need to remember about this stuff?  It's all reclaimed or FSC certified wood, hand picked piece by piece by us, modern and organic in design, and will show up in you home or on your shop floor in 4 to 6 weeks. We should have a bunch of photos and a little video (who doesn't like video after all), of all these pieces.  Then it's off to the August New York show with all of them.  Anyway, sorry for the short blog entry. . . . maybe you're not sorry for the short blog entry . . . . but when I get the samples finished, photographed and ready to go, I'll get back here and give you all the directionless run on sentences you have come to expect from this blog complete with pretty pictures of this stuff to break up the monotony.
